The label

The Glyco Harmony label, read line by line

Quick answer

The Glyco Harmony label lists a 1 mL serving and 60 servings in a 60 mL bottle. Each serving gives 0.7 mcg of chromium (2% of the Daily Value) and a 200 mg proprietary blend of 22 ingredients with no single amounts. A glycerin and water base carries stevia, xylitol and two preservatives. The directions say 1 or 2 droppers a day.

01The flat label

What does the whole Glyco Harmony label say?

Three panels: directions and cautions on the left, the brand in the middle, Supplement Facts on the right.

02Supplement Facts

What does each line of the Supplement Facts box mean?

The box gives a serving, a count and just two amounts.

The Glyco Harmony Supplement Facts box, line by line, in plain words
Label lineWhat it saysWhat it means for you
Serving size1 mlOne full dropper is one serving.
Servings per container6060 days at 1 dropper a day, 30 days at 2.
Chromium (as chromium picolinate)0.7 mcg, 2% DVA small trace amount. Glucose studies used 200 to 1,000 mcg a day (NIH ODS, Chromium).
Proprietary Blend200 mg, Daily Value not established22 ingredients share 200 mg. No single amount is given.

'2% DV' compares 0.7 mcg with chromium's 35 mcg Daily Value (NIH ODS, Chromium). A whole bottle holds about 42 mcg. See the chromium profile.

03The blend

Why does the proprietary blend show only one number?

US rules let a supplement print one total for a blend, as long as the parts are listed from most to least by weight (21 CFR 101.36 (eCFR)).

Maca root comes first, so it weighs the most. L-carnitine base comes last, so it weighs the least. The rest are ranked but not measured.

The order still gives limits. An ingredient in place 4 can weigh no more than a quarter of the blend, or 50 mg. One in place 8 can weigh no more than 25 mg. Spread evenly, the 22 lines would average about 9 mg each per dropper.

What the order cannot tell you

Whether maca takes most of the 200 mg or every line sits near 9 mg. Both fit the label. See proprietary blend math.

04Poster vs label

Does the brand poster match the label?

Mostly. The poster picks six of the 23 lines and shows no amounts.

Tap a number to read that part of the poster.

  1. Poster headline

'Inside Glyco Harmony' is a brand poster, not the label. It shows 6 of the 23 ingredient lines and no amounts.

  2. Chromium picolinate tile

The only ingredient with a printed amount: 0.7 mcg per mL, 2% of the Daily Value. The metal chunks are artwork; chromium picolinate is a fine powder.

  3. Green tea leaf tile

Line 7 of 22 in the blend. Green tea brings caffeine; the label gives no caffeine amount.

  4. Gymnema leaf tile

Line 8 of 22. Studies used 200-400 mg a day of a standardized extract. The blend's share is not disclosed.

  5. Maca root tile

Line 1 of the blend, so the largest share by weight. Maca has no blood sugar trials.

  6. African mango seed tile

Line 4 of 22. The best-known trial used 300 mg a day; the evidence is weak.

  7. Panax ginseng tile

The poster draws a root, but the label says 'aerial extract': leaf and stem. Most ginseng trials used the root.

  8. The bottle

'Blood Sugar Support*' and '2 fl oz / 60 ml' match the label. The asterisk points to the FDA statement.

  9. FDA statement

Printed along the bottom: the statements have not been evaluated by the FDA, and the product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

One tile differs: it draws a ginseng root, while the label lists an aerial (leaf and stem) extract. Most ginseng trials used root (Shishtar et al., PLoS One 2014).

05Other ingredients

What are the other ingredients for?

A sweet liquid base that keeps on a shelf, with no amounts given.

Glycerin and water carry the blend; shake the bottle so it mixes back in. Stevia extract 97% (Reb A) and xylitol sweeten it. High-purity Reb A is a sweetener FDA has not questioned as GRAS (FDA, Aspartame and Other Sweeteners). Lemon extract, natural flavors and citric acid add taste. Sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate are preservatives. More on the sweeteners profile.

Xylitol and dogs

Xylitol can cause a fast, dangerous drop in a dog's blood sugar (FDA, Paws Off Xylitol). Keep the bottle and any spills away from pets, and call a vet at once if a dog gets into it.

06Directions

What do the suggested use and caution lines say?

Three short directions, a dose ceiling and three groups who should ask a physician first.

Word for word: "Shake well before each use. Take 1 or 2 droppers full daily. Place in mouth and swallow."

  • No more than 2 droppers a day. No time of day is printed.
  • Ask a physician first if you are pregnant or nursing, under 18, or have a known medical condition.
  • Store it cool and dry, away from heat and light, out of children's reach. Skip a bottle with a broken seal.

Diabetes and prediabetes count as known conditions, so talk to your doctor first if you take a diabetes medicine. Keep taking prescribed medicine; never stop or change it because of a supplement. Timing tips are on the dosage page.

07Fine print

What do the front claim, the distributor line and the typos tell you?

The asterisk marks a structure/function claim. The left panel names the distributor. Three words are misspelled.

'Blood Sugar Support*' points to the FDA box, which says the claim was not evaluated by FDA (FDA, Using Dietary Supplements). The distributor is Instituto Experience of Lakeland, Florida. 'FDA registered facility' lists a plant with FDA; it is not a product approval, and the plant is not named. One sales page image file says '30ML'; the label says 60 ml.

The panel also prints 'mevenii', 'gabonesis' and 'Typtophan' for meyenii, gabonensis and tryptophan. These are typing slips, not different plants.

What the label does well

  • Every ingredient named, in weight order
  • Clear serving size and count
  • A real chromium amount

What it leaves out

  • Single blend amounts
  • Caffeine from guarana and green tea (MSKCC, Guarana)
  • The facility name

Tracking and refunds go to the order desk on the contact page. Each line is profiled on the ingredients page.

08FAQ

Glyco Harmony questions people ask

What does the Glyco Harmony Supplement Facts panel list?

A 1 mL serving, 60 servings, chromium picolinate at 0.7 mcg (2% DV) and a 200 mg proprietary blend of 22 ingredients. Only chromium and the blend total have amounts.

Who makes Glyco Harmony?

The label names Instituto Experience of Lakeland, Florida as distributor and says the drops are made in the USA in an unnamed FDA registered facility. This website is a stocking partner, not the maker.

Why are there spelling mistakes on the Glyco Harmony label?

They look like typing slips: 'mevenii', 'gabonesis' and 'Typtophan' for meyenii, gabonensis and tryptophan. They do not point to different ingredients.

What does 'Daily Value not established' mean on a supplement label?

It means no official daily target exists. The dagger by the 200 mg blend says none of its 22 lines has a set Daily Value, so no percentage is printed.

Does 'FDA registered facility' mean the product was checked by the FDA?

No. Registration lists a facility with FDA; it does not test or approve the product. FDA cannot approve supplements for safety or effectiveness before sale (FDA, Using Dietary Supplements). No lab report for Glyco Harmony is published.

How should I store Glyco Harmony drops?

Keep it in a cool, dry place away from heat, light and humidity, as the label says, and out of reach of children and pets. Do not use a bottle with a broken or missing seal.
